HOW CAN THE DIR HELP YOU WITH IMPLANT IDENTIFICATION?

Caring for dental implant patients involves regular maintenance and, in some cases, additional treatments to ensure their long-term success. Hygienists play a crucial role in assessing and monitoring patients, serving as early detectors for complications, including dental implant-related issues. They are integral to securing favorable patient outcomes over time.

Efficient access to implant records holds immense significance for treating dentists and hygienists, especially in cases where patients have switched dentists or require urgent care. This access helps avoid costly and time-consuming identification processes that could potentially exacerbate problems.

Hygienists also play a pivotal role in educating patients about the importance of maintaining accessible databases for their dental records, which can be conveniently accessed by dental professionals in the future.

PROTECT YOUR DENTAL IMPLANT PATIENTS WITH THE DIR

WHAT IS THE DIR?

The Dental Implant Registry (DIR) is a FREE online registry for dental practices to use that allows for quick recording of dental implant and abutment components, helping users meet current Australian / New Zealand regulatory and record keeping requirements

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Presenting Implant.png

The DIR is easy to use and integrate into your current practice workflows. Your practice can either use our online application to register your patients implant/abutment info OR you can send the relevant information to our team privately and securely and we'll do the registration on your behalf - Whatever works best for you!

WHO SHOULD USE THE DIR?

As per current ADA, AHPRA and TGA regulations, if your practice places dental implants and/OR restores dental abutments, you are legally obligated to be recording accurate component information. By utilising the DIR, you can ensure you are meeting these regulatory and record keeping requirements with one simple process. Speak to your practice manager or principle dentist to get them utilising the DIR for the benefit of your practice and your patients!

MINIMISE YOUR LEGAL RISKS!

While your dental practice may currently keep accurate patient records, those records are only kept in-house. The point of difference of the DIR is that we are a secure centralised database, accessible by patients and their treating clinicians. Utilising the DIR ensures; legacy of patient data (beyond the mandatory 7 years), minimised legal risks if records are lost or destroyed and

eliminating future requests for patient information.

WHAT DOES THE DIR COST?

The DIR is entirely FREE for dentists/practices to use, and we even provide a rebate to our users for registering implant components (get paid for data entry)!

Dental professionals can quickly register patients' dental implant components on the DIR at a cost to the patient of $30 per component ($30 for the implant, and $30 for the abutment)

This works out to only $60 per complete dental implant

For patients, this is an essential and cost-effective insurance policy that gives them peace of mind (with the alternative potentially costing patients hundreds, if not thousands more!)
