YOUR RIGHTS AS A PATIENT
As per the Australian Charter of Healthcare rights, patients have the right to request and obtain access to their own records upon request.
As per the Australian Dental Association (ADA), and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) documentation, Dental Professionals have a 30 day window to provide patients records upon request.
It is also the requirement of Dental Professionals to securely store accurate records for a minimum of 7 years
If you have requested your implant details that were placed less than 7 years ago and your dental professional fails to provide you with these accurate records, they are liable for recourse.

Each registration carries a fee of $30 (+GST), which is paid to the Dental Practice by the patient.
This registration is entered by the Dental Staff on behalf of the patient.
Registrations are capped at 4 implant components and 4 abutment components per patient.
